MISSION STATEMENT
Founded in 2020, the Bay Area Persian Music Ensemble is the first nonprofit Persian community orchestra established in the United States. Dedicated to the study, practice, and performance of Persian classical music, the ensemble provides a communal and educational environment where members come together to explore this centuries-old art form in depth. Under the leadership of Faraz Minooei, the ensemble strives to enrich the Bay Area’s cultural landscape and foster a deeper understanding of Persian music and its enduring beauty through concerts, workshops, and outreach programs.

WHO WE ARE
We have roots in the Iranian plateau and our branches have extended far. We enjoy and practice the artwork that has been passed down to us for generations from the plains where civilization blossomed. This ensemble belongs to the Bay Area and is not an exclusive society. We look forward to collaborating in creative projects and meeting new members.
HOW YOU CAN JOIN US
Very easy! If you live in the San Francisco Bay Area and play an Iranian instrument, you can join us by submitting the following application.

We practice every other Sunday from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm and the sessions are directed by Faraz Minooei. The membership fee is $50 monthly. Membership fees will only be spent on the costs of the ensemble itself, not to pay the members nor the director.
